Mikhail Stepanov works for KPMG in Moscow in the Department of Professional Practice (DPP). He is involved in providing technical advice to engagement teams, delivering internal and external trainings/seminars and working on various IFRS, quality control and regulatory projects.

Mikhail graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a degree in International Economics. Mikhail is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of the United Kingdom (ACCA) and a Certified Russian Statutory Auditor.

Mikhail Stepanov has experience in auditing IFRS and RAS financial statements of major Russian and international companies in the shipbuilding, postal services and transportation, manufacturing, mining and other industries. Mikhail has also participated in, supervised and managed a number of transformation and consolidation projects for major international and Russian companies.
